Tucked away almost at the end of Pleasant Point Lane, just the name of the street makes you feel welcome. Clad in shades of blue-grey, the Norwegian Brick fuses seamlessly with the rich wood columns and you’ll know right away this is no ordinary house. Soft circular drive is buffered from the street courtesy of the front hedges so the home comes into view slowly as you drive up. Form and function are perfect partners here as you’ll discover after passing through the portico which makes a statement of its own with a single vault roofline, wood columns and a series of geometric windows at the front door. A Nelson bubble light fixture illuminates the generous foyer where 12′ x 24′ slate tiles define the space. Your eye is instantly drawn to the wall of windows under a soaring beamed ceiling.

A veritable woodland is just beyond the glass. A labor of love of nature has turned the backyard into its own ecosystem with a diverse array of trees, shrubs and flowing plants that keep the garden interesting all year round. A water view over the rear hedge assures a variety of water birds will be on parade so bring the binoculars.

Back inside, cherry floors add warmth to the soft white palette. The living room is large with expansive wall space for art and media. Presently used as a sitting room, the dining room has 2 walls of exposed brick which lend architectural texture to this lovely area. A pass-through window in the 3/4 wall which separates the kitchen from gathering room, is trimmed with the same cherry hued wood found throughout. Sleeping wing is off the foyer and there’s a door so you can close it off when entertaining friends and family. En-suite, the main bedroom overlooks the backyard. A serene spot for rest, the natural light filters in softly during the day. Private bath is in two sections. Walk-in closet, second closet, newly renovated shower and one of two vanities is adjacent to the bedroom. Second vanity, linen storage and water closet are in a separate section which opens both to the hallway and to the screened porch.
