Brightly colored flowers complement the soft greens in the front yard as you enter under the arbor and pause to take in the quintessential cottage behind the picket fence. A welcoming porch beckons you to sit and contemplate the day’s adventures and will keep you dry even on a rainy day. Heart pine floors add a rich honey tone to the white woodwork and beadboard ceilings throughout. Common rooms run along the south side and include a sunny living room, dining room and maple kitchen in the back.
The bedrooms take up the north side. A front bedroom is currently used as an office and overlooks the porch and garden. The center bedroom has its own sitting/dressing room off the bathroom. A claw foot tub with a slipper back makes for relaxing soaks after a hard day and you can lean back and see the sky out the window. A shotgun hallway runs from the front door to the enclosed back porch where you’ll find a bank of windows looking out to the fenced yard. The ‘porch’ houses the utility room with abundant storage space too.
Outside, the backyard invites your organic gardening muse to encourage flowers and vegetables to grow bountifully so there will always be bouquets on your table and good things to eat.
