Covered and open balconies abound on the east side so you can smell the sea and listen to the surf as it meets the white sand. Everywhere there are windows bringing in a palette of blue hues, be it sky or ocean.

Your own wooden dune walkover takes you from the back door to the beach where you’ll be treated to a daily sunrise show brought to you by Mother Nature.

Step inside and take the first half flight up to the master. Creamy porcelain tile contrasts with the rich wood doors and you’ll be pleased with the simultaneous combination of seclusion and wide-open ocean views. Subscribing to the “less is more” philosophy, the master bath has a beautiful walk-in shower with a simply etched glass door that provides privacy and light. The master has a covered 12 x 12 porch so you can experience sunrises in your pajamas. Just outside the master is a side door to the backyard and your private beach walkover. The guest rooms are on the next half-level, generously proportioned and enjoying wooden Anderson sliders that invite in the view and the breeze. Clever bathrooms share a common shower with miniature mosaic window that’s especially beautiful at night. Each room measures over 200 square feet, allowing for versatile furniture groupings.

Another half flight up and there is an amazing family room under a soaring domed ceiling with very subtle molding complementing the curves. A wall of windows and doors on the east side frame the dunes and the breakers and you’ll want your own telescope right away. Allow ample time to fully appreciate every nuance in this room – in fact, you’re welcome to sit down and enjoy it. The display shelves built into the curved walls are both useful and beautiful (and there’s even a secret storage space). The limestone fireplace will warm you on the chilly days – note the curved hearth contrasting with straight lines. Another half flight up takes you to the library, the formal and casual dining rooms and the kitchen, which joins the family room by virtue of a short aluminum stairway with a curved bar where you and your guests can chat from the kitchen to the room below.

Bibliophiles will delight in the library with its walls of built-in cherry shelves, including a set of sliding bookcases so there’s room for all of your collections. The juxtaposition of the two dining areas allows for large gatherings without extra effort and the kitchen is both beautiful and efficient with three deep windows looking due east to the water.

A covered balcony with a matching domed ceiling opens from the family room where you can enjoy the myriad of pinks as the sun rises and feel the warm golden glow as it comes over the roof at sunset.
